Ignata Finance are recruiting for a Credit Manager to join a successful organisation located in Sussex. This is a high profile position which will involve stakeholder management, accounting and day to day credit control duties. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a team with the independence to make key decisions and be part of the leadership team where your opinion matters. This is a newly created role therefore my client is seeking to employ a confident credit manager with experience of working within a corporate organisation with prior involvement of setting up new processes and leading improvements to current way of working.

Due to the nature of the role you will ideally have experience of the following:

  • Managing a team of credit controllers
  • Experience of working with a large ERP system such as SAP or Oracle (SAP preferred)
  • Experience of presenting to senior stakeholders/board level staff
  • Experience of working with cost centre managers
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • Able to demonstrate through key achievements where you have collected a large sum of money owed, reduced then DSO and improved the way collections are managed

Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for the following:

  • Managing a team of credit controllers which will include all appraisals, target setting and performance reviews
  • Manage the recruitment process for new recruits
  • Responsible for the production of the debt analysis report (reporting risks, variances and further action)
  • Responsible for cashflow forecasting on a monthly basis
  • Analysis of aged debt report – responsible for distributing workload
  • Working with in-house lawyer to escalate overdue debt/assist with litigation proceedings when appropriate
  • Work closely with budget holders to ensure their debt portfolio is being managed effectively
  • Work with the sales director to ensure problematic accounts are managed accordingly
  • Present debt analysis to stakeholders using PowerPoint
  • Ad hoc project work – systems upgrades etc
  • Maintain financial controls
  • Assist with annual audit
