Credit Controller

Job Summary

As a shared service center for LJA Miers & Co, Miers Construction Products & Kestral Construction Products, this role will be working as part of the finance team as credit controller. Hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm 37.5 hours.

Key responsibilities

  • Daily invoice procedure, including printing, enveloping and franking post.
  • Daily banking including cheques and bacs allocating on SAP.
  • Processing new account requests, credit checking, requesting debtors insurance.
  • Telephoning customers to chase overdue accounts, bad debt reporting.
  • Dealing with self-billing customers.
  • Sales day book, debtor’s reconciliation.
  • Statement runs.
  • Resolving queries, issuing credit notes, requesting POD’s.
  • Undertake any other reasonable requests or duties as required within the finance team.

Skills and Attributes

  • Conscientious, hardworking with an attention to detail.
  • Confident telephone manner.
  • Calm under pressure, when dealing with strict deadlines.
  • Admin and computer skills.

Minimum Experience required

Previous office experience essential.

Credit control experience preferred.
