Credit Controller (Part-time)

Our client is seeking an experienced Credit Controller (Part-time) to join their friendly team based in central Aldershot. The role is working Monday to Friday, 5 hours per day (25 hours per week).

The Credit Controller’s overall task will be to assist the Finance Director in achieving company objectives, to help improve the quality of the finance function and to assist in achieving the financial targets set out in the budgets and Business Plan. The Credit Controller will play a crucial role in maintaining close links with all customers, to ensure smooth running of accounts and encourage timely recovery of payments.


Ensuring the collection of service charge and ground rent payments, including: -

Manage the collection of all debts from overdue stage to legal through chasing by email, telephone and letter as appropriate in line with association standards; in order to bring the matter to the customers attention.

Maintain control of legal referrals prior to litigation.

Negotiating payment plans, following authorisation from Senior Management.

Resolving queries both internally and externally around outstanding invoices.

Establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally at all levels.

Excellent attention to detail.

Accurately record transactions on a daily basis to enable efficient follow up of any accounts and diarise all communications with customers.

Meetings with Area Managers to ensure all relevant debts are managed as necessary.

Ensure monthly arrears reporting deadlines are met as required.

Liaise with solicitors as and when required.

Assisting the Finance Director, Chief Executive and Board in all ways reasonably required to improve the financial performance and achieve its objectives.

The ideal candidate will have;

Previous credit control experience, being able to discuss overdue payments in a confident manner, whilst being empathetic.

Previous experience is dealing with customers in an understanding and pro-active manner

Excellent communication skills

Good PC skills (Word and Excel)
