Hays are currently recruiting for a large national business based in Norwich for several temporary credit control vacancies. This company have experienced exceptionally strong growth over the last few years allowing them to become the market leader in their industry.
Your new role
The main purpose of your role will be to collect all outstanding debt from customers in a timely manner and provide reliable statements and statistics for customers and management. This specifically will include:
Proactively collecting cash in advance of due date
Collecting overdue cash via telephone, fax, email or letter
Maintain accurate customer data and financial status information
Liaise with the treasury team over the allocation of funds and assist in queries regarding unallocated cash
Reconciling customer accounts
Resolving invoice queries and negotiating payment plans as necessary
Ensure management targets are met
This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week between Monday and Friday
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have worked in a similar credit control or cash collection position. You will ideally have a basic knowledge of transactional accounting processes and must have strong IT skills, being able to perform pivot tables and Vlookups on Excel. You must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively.
