Credit Controller / Sales Ledger Assistant (Finance) Kidlington, Oxfordshire

Remuneration: Your hours will be Monday to Friday; 8:30am to 5:00pm (with 30 minutes for lunch) You will receive 20 days holiday in addition to the 8 standard public holidays), and a salary circa. £22,000 (dependent on experience)

Description: Reporting to the Finance Manager, your duties will primarily be credit control & sales ledger and will include: • Daily uploading of sales invoices for funding • Emailing invoices to clients • Regular contact with clients relating to outstanding invoices both by phone and by email • Client query resolution • Providing clients with monthly statements & copy invoices as required • Maintaining the client database & client records within Sage • Various ad-hoc reporting • Answering phone calls & directing/taking messages as appropriate • General admin & housekeeping (e.g. archiving)

At certain times (for example when the Finance Manager is on annual leave), you will also be required to provide assistance with:

• Preparing daily budgets & cashflow, for review with the director • Processing supplier payments through the bank & emailing remittances • All aspects of Purchase Ledger • Month End Accounts • Reconciliations (to include sales/purchase ledgers & bank) • Preparation of timesheets • Petty Cash; employee expenses & company credit cards • Stock reporting

Profile: Ideally, you will have a good knowledge of general accounting practices & procedures. You must be confident with using Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook); and have experience of Sage line 50. Previous experience of credit control is essential.
