Credit Control/AR Team Leader

Due to an internal move we are looking for someone to join a fast paced and vibrant team and oversee all aspects of credit management from setting targets, to mentoring and coaching and hands on cash collections!

Provide team leadership and coaching, focusing the team on internal and external customer requirements, to coordinate team logistics and communicate team status, task accomplishment and direction.

Client Details

    • Coach and help develop team members; help resolve dysfunctional behaviour
    • Motivate and inspire team members
    • Coordinate with internal and external customers as necessary
    • Facilitate problem solving and collaboration
  • Intervene when necessary to aid the group in resolving issues
  • Undertake full monthly ledger reviews with the AR Manager and Head of Finance
  • Provide internal and external daily, weekly and monthly collections reports eg telephone call logs, chasing lists, bad debt provision etc and set/monitor cash targets
  • Review monthly cash forecast from SME team and provide for quarterly SLF meeting
  • Attend meetings as required - external and internal
  • Run dunning, statements and any other scheduled/ad-hoc reports as required
  • Complete ledger/account reconciliation eg write offs, refunds, administrations
  • Performance management, development and staff appraisals
  • Complete relevant monthly data for the MI dashboard
  • Undertake and fully engage/participate in any other ad-hoc duties required within the AR Finance team, as directed by the AR Finance Manager

Qualifications/Experience Required


  • Acceptable standard of English and Mathematics and computer use skills


  • Previous SAP Experience
  • Previous team supervision and/or management
  • CICM qualification
  • Previous Collections Management and Credit Control experience
  • High level of commercial awareness
  • A comprehensive understanding of DSO, KPI's and SLA's
  • Good understanding of Credit Control policies and procedures
  • Ability to understand, evaluate and resolve complex tasks and reconciliations
  • Previous experience on setting strategically aligned objectives and performance reviews
