Credit and Operations Analyst

Our client is the leading capital provider for real estate bridge loan lenders throughout the United States and the United Kingdom. They are funded by a top tier global asset management platform. They require a Credit and Operations Analyst. They currently have £600m under management. This is a rare opportunity for someone to get a foot in the door with a small, experienced team scaling a successful whole loan business.

Duties include:

  • Coordinate relationships with lending partners to manage loan acquisition process on a daily basis

o Develop strong relationships with sellers to ensure proper documentation is available for review and answer questions on acquisition guidelines

  • Coordinate weekly loan acquisition process

o Liaise with third party diligence companies to review underwriting files prior to settlement

o Review final collateral exceptions and work to clear material exceptions

o Complete appraisal analysis to determine that acceptable collateral standards are met

o Manage internal excel models for data tape scrubbing and loan level guideline conformity

o Review and analyze loans which are guideline exceptions

o Communicate credit risk decisions to senior management and correspondent lenders

o Coordinate collecting original closing collateral form seller - TR4, purchase advice etc

  • Manage deal flow utilizing a daily pipeline report
  • Check files for completeness and accuracy prior to sending loans to settlements team for purchase
  • Work with accounting to organize weekly settlements
  • Create and build a KYC due diligence profile for each new lender assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree is required.
  • Previous experience (2yr+)
  • Experience in real estate related activities (ideally mortgages) residential & commercial
  • High level of proficiency in Excel
  • Prior exposure to real estate credit
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and accuracy skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to read and understand basic commercial real estate contracts
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment with low to moderate supervision
  • A high level of personal motivation
  • Individual must be comfortable functioning both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to meet stringent work deadlines and work quality standards
