CPC Transport Manager

PURPOSE OF ROLE

To be entirely responsible for the maintenance and compliance of all company vehciles and fleet and organise the logistics of deliveries to ensure contracts are fully serviced

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- To manage and administer all aspects of the company Operator License

- To ensure that all DVSA compliance standards as well as companies own compliance standards are adhered to at all times (including PMIs, MOT, driver routine checks, tachographs among other complaince measures) and keep accurate records

- Ensure all vehciles are inspected, maintained and serviced accordingly.

- Daily monitoring of the defect reports from the company defect reporting IT system

- Monitoring vehicle tracker and driver tacho downloads

- Take action against any infringements reports on from tacho reports. Such action includes issuing disciplinary warning and other measures

- Ensure all incidences and accidents reported are fully investigated and actions taken as necessary

- To manage the company’s fleet maintenance and administration of vehicle maintenance documentation systems

- To organise purchase of vehicles and or parts in accordance with company purchase procedure

- To recruit, manage, lead and appraise the drivers

- May be called upon to conduct driver briefings on performance, operations, compliance, health & safety, clients concerns among other relevant issues to drivers responsibilities

- Responsible for assigning duties and organising the external mechanics

- To efficiently organise daily deliveries meeting site expectations

- Expected to appraise, develop and improve compliance and safety in operations

- Any any other relevant duties may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

- CPC National

- HGV Class 1 License

- Good knowledge of transport
