Teaching Personnel are working with our client secondary school in the Rochdale area, who are wishing to recruit a cover supervisor. This is an ideal opportunity for a cover supervisor to gain invaluable classroom experience before beginning a career in the education sector.

  • Cover Supervisor pay = £55-£70 a day
  • Paid experience prior to applying for teacher training programme
  • Applications accepted from graduates, particularly those with experience working with young people.
  • Full time working hours, though there is flexibility for exceptional candidates

Our partner secondary school is actively seeking a cover supervisor, initially on a temporary basis for covering a long term requirement, with the opportunity for the successful Cover Supervisor to gain a permanent position within the school in the future.

Whilst working as a cover supervisor, you will be required to facilitate and support learners in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensure set work is completed and pupils are following the behaviour policies of the school. The incoming cover supervisor will need to display a confident and a strong sense of character to take the lead in a classroom environment. The ideal candidate will have experience as a cover supervisor, though those with experience in youth work, sport coaching or working with young people to build effective, positive relationships with learners. This is an excellent opportunity to enter the teaching profession and gain invaluable experience to enhance your teaching ability.

Our client secondary school is located in the Rochdale area of greater Manchester, our partner secondary school can be accessed from Heywood, Middleton and Bury via the M62 motorway. For non drivers, there are a number of excellent transport links to the school from other areas including Oldham and Manchester, via tram or train.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
