We are looking for motivated and adaptable individuals who are looking to gain further experience working within a secondary school to perhaps support a future PGCE application. The successful cover supervisors will be covering lessons within a secondary school in the absence of the classroom teacher. This role can be fulfilled by an unqualified teacher as the work is already set and therefore requires someone who can engage with students and ensure they remain on task completing work as set by the absent teacher.
Highlights of the cover supervisor role:
- Pay ranging between £50 - £65 per school day depending on experience
- Work within a secondary school between the hours of 8:15am and 3pm
- Gain fantastic experience to support a future PGCE application
The secondary schools we work with are situated within the South area of Manchester, such as Levenshulme, Didsbury, Sale and Stretford. All schools are very well located and very easily accessible for someone who drives or via public transport. The central Metrolink services the majority of schools with local buses running regularly for those who don't drive.
The successful cover supervisor should be flexible in their approach as they will be working in a variety of secondary schools but will benefit from the networking opportunities and the different range of subjects you will come into contact with.
