Court Manager

Hours: Flexibility required due to position (36 hours a week)
We have a unique and exciting opportunity for a Court Manager to work alongside the Services Manager to ensure the smooth running of the premises. The successful individual will be responsible for all staffing, maintenance and Health and Safety matters within the premises.

Duties on a day to day basis will include the following:
. All aspects of the day-to-day running of the Court, in particular, supervision of the team of Duty Managers, Housekeeping Assistants who provide personal care and domestic help to Owners, also Cooks, Gardeners and Handymen.
. Advertising for and recruiting staff, dealing with all personnel issues arising from the management of the team of staff in consultation with the Services Manager.
. Becoming the Registered Manager with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to enable the Court to carry out personal care (Educated to Health Social Care Level 5 Leadership)
. Operating within CQC guidelines with regard to policies, procedures and training of staff.
. Ensuring that the buildings and services are maintained in good order and that the statutory health & safety testing is carried out cyclically.
. Providing assistance/personal care to Owners in an emergency situation
. Understanding the needs of older people to ensure continued independence and an optimum quality of life for all Owners. The Manager is expected to use imagination, skill and sensitivity to identify problems before they occur and take steps to avoid them (taking an active rather than re-active role in the management and development of the Court).
. Delivering excellent customer service to all Owners and 'customers' in line with company standards providing a 'can do' attitude at all times.

As a person you will need the following experience & Qualities:

. NVQ 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
. Skills and knowledge necessary to fulfil the professional/ technical aspects of the
. An understanding of Care Quality Commission guidelines and standards Management and supervisory experience
. Basic accounts and invoicing
. An understanding of Employment Law, Health & Safety requirements and Welfare Benefits
. Day to day use of the Microsoft Office suite of software
. Implementation and augmentation of Company policies and procedures
