Counselling and Bereavement Lead

St Michaels Hospice has an exciting opportunity for a Counselling and Bereavement Lead to join the team based in Bartestree, Hereford. You will be on a part time permanent contract, working a minimum of 30 hours, with a highly competitive salary of £26,847 to £30,878 per annum.

Since opening in 1984, our client has been providing the highest quality of care, free of charge, to the local community. The same community has worked tirelessly to generate the funds needed to make all the care possible.

They are now looking to appoint a qualified counsellor who has experience in managing others.

The successful Counselling and Bereavement Lead will join their highly experienced Supportive Care Team and your day will be split between providing emotional support to patients and families, under the care of the Hospice and leading the counselling and bereavement teams of both staff and volunteers.

Their ideal Counselling and Bereavement Lead will have the below skills and experience:

- Experience of working therapeutically with end of life and grief issues

- Management experience

- Supervision experience

- The ability to work independently and as part of a busy team

- Accreditation with BACP (or working towards)
