Cosmetic Account Handler

An opportunity has arisen within our Cosmetic part of the business where we are looking to recruit a highly motivated and driven Cosmetic Account Handler to manage and develop the Cosmetic Account thereby contributing to the achievement of the Department’s financial and service targets

Other duties include:

  • To maintain and enhance existing Client relationships ensuring that the premium income contributes to the achievement of your own and the Departments financial targets
  • To actively acquire new Client relationships contributing to the achievement of your own and the department’s financial targets
  • To actively develop and maintain professional relationships with Insurer partners, affiliates and other appropriate third parties
  • To ensure that all administration and documentation issued and actions taken fall within the agreed service standards and FCA regulations
  • To keep up to date with industry news and developments ensuring that your technical knowledge is kept current
  • To assist with the preparation of events and exhibitions and attending these where required (these may be at weekends)
  • Where required to assist with the administration and processing within the team
  • To ensure that all Company procedures are followed and any areas of concern are notified to the Aesthetic Insurance & Claims Manager
  • To ensure the highest standard of customer service and relationship management
  • To ensure that all Company security procedures, as detailed in the Personal Information Security Policy, are followed and any areas of concern are notified to the your Department Manager

Skills and knowledge required:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ commercial insurance experience within a Broking or Insurer environment
  • Experience in medical malpractice and/or professional indemnity insurance is desirable
  • A sales focused approach to client relationships whilst ensuring that excellent customer service and advice is provided at all times
  • Progress toward Cert CII qualification is desirable.
  • An excellent level of written and spoken English and Mathematical skills with a minimum of A* - C GCSE pass (or equivalent)
  • Excellent inter-personal and telephone skills with the ability to communicate clearly and precisely with others
  • To have good organisational skills and be able to adapt to changing circumstances in a fast moving environment
  • Sound IT skills particularly with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to learn new systems and procedures
  • The ability to meet deadlines, keep promises and prioritise own workload
  • The ability to work within a team environment and to assist Team members where required

The role will be based in our brand new, state of the art offices in Borehamwood, conveniently located near to the M25 & A1 and within reach of Elstree & Borehamwood station.

Hours of work will be 40 per week 9am - 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.
