Corporate Tax Senior Manager - Top 50 Firm

A market leading top 50 chartered accountancy and advisory firm based in Central London are looking for a qualified Corporate Tax Senior Manager to join their team. You will be reporting to the Director of Tax.

Duties

  • Lead and guide a small corporation tax team and review tax computations prepared by the audit department
  • Manage a client portfolio of businesses, mainly SMEs which can include listed companies and international groups
  • Manage client relationships and identify opportunities; think strategically by understanding client's needs, their business and key risks
  • Identify ways to maximise the client relationship and deliver added value
  • Work with the Partners in the planning and conduct of advisory assignments
  • Deal with HMRC enquiries
  • Identify tax planning opportunities
  • Attend client meetings and events
  • Carry out technical research
  • Ensure team and individual budgets and performance objectives are achieved
  • Manage WIP and raise bills
  • Provide tax training to Audit personnel

Essential

  • CTA or ACA qualified with proven post-qualification experience
  • Strong technical corporate tax knowledge
  • Strong commercial awareness/client focus
  • Evidence of reviewing corporation tax returns
  • Evidence of complex problem solving
  • Ability to develop long term client relationships and deliver added value
  • Evidence of being proactive in identifying R&D opportunities and preparing claims and reports
  • Evidence of preparing and reviewing tax notes for accounts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
