Absolute is operating as a recruitment business for the supply of temporary opportunities.

Our customer is recruiting a skilled Corporate Services Officer to join them on a temporary basis, initially until August of this year.

Key purpose of this role is to:

  1. Lead the delivery and development of a Corporate Services support function developing or adapting policies, procedures and practices to ensure efficient business processes underpins the support provided to the Chief Executive, senior managers and colleagues throughout the business.

  2. Lead on data protection legislation in line with our data protection & confidentiality policy across the organisation. Provide advice and support to Senior Management, Heads of Service and other staff members as required.

  3. Develop effective recording and information management processes which guarantee good governance and accountability.

  4. Support the rest of the organisation to shape and drive organisational and cultural change to deliver the business’s mission and values through the provision of an effective corporate standards function which is flexible, inclusive and democratic in its approach.

  5. Ensure the Corporate Services Team provide excellent customer services to customers, internal staff, contractors and the general public.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Support the development and deliver a corporate standard which effectively supports the development of the business mutual model.

  2. Undertake as directed key projects to support the achievement of business objectives.

  3. Support the development of a customer focused approach which is open, fair and transparent, setting corporate standards which support the delivery of business excellence.

  4. Lead and co-ordinate the work of the Corporate Services administration team in providing a bespoke service which delivers advice and support to managers in respect of corporate standards.

  5. Lead on data protection, and ensure the business meets the standards as set out in the General Data Protection Regulations. Proving guidance and direction to the business to ensure we are minimising risk and potential litigation from the Information Commissioners Office and/or members of the public.

  6. To identify and manage process around breaches of data protection, ensure all staff are fully trained and understand their obligation. Manage and process subject access requests.

  7. Ensure Privacy Statements are in place for the safe handling of data and that new projects include Privacy Impact Assessments.

  8. Coordinate the regular audit and testing of the business Emergency Plan. Develop in conjunction with other departments and external agencies, the Emergency plan with regular review.

  9. Ensure the effective management of supplier contracts in line with Value for Money and continuous improvement. Liaise with contractors to ensure the smooth running of services in relation to postage and stationery.

  10. Ensure administration staff provide effective support and administration to Strategic Management Team and Heads of Service on a regular basis.

  11. Develop effective record keeping systems for the effective use of corporate standards across the organisation. Specifically, develop a contracts register to ensure the business identifies risks to all contracts held across the business.
