Specialising in IT Services, our client is huge global technology name that you’ll know well. If you have at least 2 years’ experience in a corporate sales role and you’re looking for a new sector in which your skills will be rewarded with great earnings and career growth, this could be a great option for you. This is an amazing opportunity to join a world leader in the tech sector with annual sales of close to $70billion and one for which you do not need sector specific experience, just the right skills and mindset. Openings like this don’t come along very often.
Our client sells world-leading technology products and services to businesses across the world. They offer both hardware and software solutions as well as professional services to their corporate clients from SMEs to huge global corporations. You’ll be joining a London-based sales team with a focus on corporate clients (companies with more than 1500 employees) in the south of England where they have their strongest and most productive client base.
Joining a strong existing team to specialise in generating new business, you will be responsible for the whole sales process: finding potential new clients via research; calling them to introduce yourself; meeting the relevant decision-makers to explore their needs and offer solutions; and closing deals with them. Thereafter, you’ll be responsible for managing the new accounts you win whilst continuing to drive new business. In addition, for the right person, you will be asked to assume a team leadership role to support your own manager.
Based in central London, this role provides a brilliant opportunity for someone hungry for opportunity, career growth and a dynamic future with an industry leader in the technology world.
You don’t need a background in our client’s sector of technology though it’s likely you’ll have an interest in it. What is more important is your sales experience to date and your personality, particularly your attitude: positive and professional with a brilliant work ethic.
You should be doer, a worker, a person that makes things happen. With experience in corporate sales, you know how to source new clients productively and have the credibility to meet senior decision-makers face-to-face. Strong communication skills are a must, of course, across all formats: over the phone, in writing and when meeting clients face-to-face. As a professional corporate salesperson, you should have an entrepreneurial spirit and be energetic, positive and well presented.
Finally, you’ll now be ready for a team leader role. Your manager is also selling full-time and will seek your help in managing some of the existing team.
The starting salary is £25-30,000 with On-Target-Earnings (OTE) of £70,000. Commission is uncapped. In addition, you will enjoy benefits commensurate with a career with a global name such as 25 days’ holiday, contributory pension plan (with % matched by company), bonus scheme, life assurance and discounted private healthcare. Benefits may be subject to qualification period.
