The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital has vacancies for shift COORDINATING SUPERVISORS.
This post involves 12 hour day and night shifts; 07:00 - 19:00 and 19:00 - 07:00. These will be worked on a shift pattern of 2 days on, 3 days off, 2 nights on, 3 days off. Additionally there are relief weeks which change the pattern to cover annual leave. These posts require a high level of knowledge, understanding and experience of complex electrical / engineering systems / water systems in large healthcare premises as well as experience working in estates within a hospital environment. You will require good communication skills and have the ability to work to deadlines in a demanding environment. You will need to have the ability to work well unsupervised and provide leadership to those reporting to you. The successful applicant will need to be able to work effectively as part of a team while fostering positive and co-operative relationships with all other groups and departments. Please refer to the attached Job Description for the post. This post will entail supervisory duties over shift Technicians as well as supporting completion of maintenance activities as required. The shift coordinating supervisor will be expected to lead on response to out of hour's issues and escalating to, and working with other departments and management as required. It will also be a requirement of the post that you shall take on multiple Authorised Person (AP) duties in support of out of hours response capabilities.
