FULL-TIME COOK REQUIRED

Sociable hours - 35 hours per week (average) - no split shifts - alternate weekends

Week one: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday

Week two: Wednesday, Thursday Friday

£8.50 - 9.00 per hour depending on experience

The role

Looking for a new opportunity as a cook? Following the opening of our new kitchen and restaurant complex, we now require an experienced, enthusiastic and skilled cook to join our organisation at a particularly exciting time.

Your keys responsibilities are to:-

  • Prepare, assemble and cook all menu dishes
  • Provide high quality meals
  • Assist in the general cleaning of the kitchen
  • Provide a high quality service to all users.

In addition, you will support all health and hygiene requirements, assist with till work and be involved in stock control and menu planning.

You will work 10 hours per shift. Times may vary dependent on business needs and you will be required to work additional shifts to cover for company events and staff holidays. Occassional evening work may be required to cover on-site functions.

Experience required

You will ideally be experienced in working in a large-scale full-on catering facility, have worked in fresh food kitchens and have a keen interest in cooking a variety of wholesome home cooked meals to produce high quality food from a hub kitchen. A positive attitude is essential as well as excellent customer service skills and be able to maintain confidentiality. Food Hygiene level 2 and 3 required, although further training can be provided.

Bowden Derra Park Limited is a fast developing business dedicated to the care and well being of people with learning and physical disabilities. Our team of nearly 180 support staff provide full time residential/nursing care for approximately 70 service users across 7 units.

A full DBS check is required, the cost of which will be refundable following a qualifying period.
