They are well established having been practising locally for over 60 years. The practice has undergone a major programme of modernisation over the past four years which has seen both offices being fully refurbished, the implementation of state of the art software solutions to assist the staff in dealing with client matters and improvement of the day to day financial and office management.
The firm firmly positions itself in the middle market, offering a personal service, giving clients the ability to deal directly with nominated fee earners and with additional assistance from dedicated support staff. The vast majority of its work comes from existing clients.
The practice provides legal services in conveyancing, wills and probate and matrimonial/family, with a team of nine fee earners and around 25 staff in total. Both offices have staff car parking facilities. The firm is run by a fair-minded and close-knit partnership team with assistance from a dedicated office manager and accounts manager who have both been in their roles for many years. Staff turnover is low and the firm very much sees itself as part of the local community, holding regular events such as a summer fete and charity quizzes.
About the Vacancy The firm currently has a vacancy for a conveyancing fee earner. This vacancy has arisen due to the reduction in hours of an existing fee earner and has also been made necessary by the good level of new enquiries the firm receives.
Fee earners have sensible workloads and realistic fee targets and are expected to time record. They will receive the necessary management information to enable and to help them manage their caseloads with support provided in undertaking housekeeping tasks such as matter opening and archiving. A supportive performance management environment is in place to assist them.
The position is full-time, and includes a competitive remuneration package. The firm are willing to be flexible on the candidate's experience and areas of expertise in order to recruit the right person. Ideally the successful candidate will have experience in undertaking residential and commercial conveyancing work however; the candidate will be supported with their development needs in respect of internal and external training and development.
