Conveyancing Assistant/Secretary

A well established law practice seeks an experienced Conveyancing Assistant/Secretary to join their office in Honiton.

This law firm has a long history of success and growth and as such has offices across the South West, London and the Middle East.

Due to expansion they are looking for an experienced Conveyancing Assistant / Secretary to join their busy Residential Conveyancing department and provide secretarial assistance to residential conveyancing lawyers.

You will be required to assist with preparation of contracts, transfers, trust deeds and correspondence; Dealing with completion statements; Raising solicitors invoices; Drawing up contracts; Taking instructions from and liaising with clients; Undertake on-line searches; and Complete Land Registry and SDLT forms on-line.

The successful candidate will have experience of working within a busy conveyancing department, be able to work under their own initiative and display good administrative and organisational skills. There will be client contact so you will need to be an excellent communicator, both on the phone and face to face.

Being able to use a case management software and being competent with Microsoft office programmes is essential.

Salary is competitive and DOE - £17,000 - £21,000
