We are working with an established, world renowned manufacturer near Waterlooville to carry out the design of control systems.
You will develop existing programs by analysing and identifying areas for modification as well as testing new programs, fault finding and correcting software before it is released to engineers. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing software test rigs & procedures, and integrating different software systems.
Part of the role will be to create technical specifications for components to be used by panel designers and project managers, writing operational documentation, instruction manuals and data sheets. You will also provide technical support to projects, sales and manufactures.

Requirements for the role
A good understanding of control systems and design and functioning of control panels
knowledge of open and closed protocols
Able to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings
A good understanding of PLC controls and well as being confident reading schematic electrical drawings
Able to use AutoCAD
Strong communication skills to liaise/work with internal departments and comfortable in a customer facing role
Ideally possess a BTEC level 3 or equivalent in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
However experience is more important than qualifications
Good communication skills, works well in a team
Competent user of excel, some knowledge of electrical AutoCAD is desirable but again training will be provided
Must be organised, with a thorough and logical approach to working
Qualification in electrical/electronic engineering
