Reporting to: Manning Operations Manager

Responsible for: Scheduling Manning Requirements

Working Hours: Days, Nights and weekends on a rolling shift pattern

Salary: £35,000 per annum

Purpose

To carry out Forward Scheduling of open shifts/training shifts on sites within the company’s Portfolio in an effective and timely manner. Based in the Manning Department, you will liaise with onsite staff as well as Senior Management and keep them updated with any issues/incidents that they need to be made aware of. To operate consistently within the company policy and maximise profit within budgetary requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with site personnel/Regional Managers regarding any deficiencies in manpower, officers attending training shifts etc.
  • Reserve welfare reports to be reviewed and filed
  • Open post to be scheduled with qualified trained reserves
  • All shifts to be confirmed for the coming 3 weeks
  • Controller to answer all calls and deal with all requests efficiently and accurately
  • Controllers primary job is scheduling and dealing with day to day queries
  • Controllers to manage Manning email account, all emails should be actioned and filed in a timely manner
  • Controllers to ensure that all sickness is added to personal diaries
  • Controllers to ensure all training is added to personal diaries
  • Complete a daily handover
  • Looking after Reserve Officer’s welfare at all times

  • Adherence to BS 7499 : 2013 - Code of Practice - Manned Guarding and Mobile Patrol Service
  • Adherence to BS 7858 : 2012 - Code of Practice - Security Screening
  • Adherence to BS 7984 : 2008 - Code of Practice - Key Holding Services
  • Adherence to IS09001: 2015 - Quality Management
  • Adherence to BS 7958: 2009 - CCTV Management and Operation
  • Adherence to IS014001:2015 - Environmental Management
  • Adherence to BS22301 - Business Continuity

Skills Required

  • Ability to work well in a highly pressurised environment
  • Motivate and lead the team to new levels of development and achievements by regular coaching
  • Make sure customer needs are met at all times
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to be pro-active and work on own initiative
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
  • Competent IT skills
  • Good knowledge of rostering and working time directive
  • Must be able to create and manage rosters and work out holiday entitlement for all staff
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Able to accurately record data
  • Timekeeping and attendance must be of a very high standard
