Control Systems Engineer- Hertfordshire - Permanent - £45,000 - £50,000

An excellent opportunity for a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer to join a leading FMCG company in the Hertfordshire area on permanent basis working days.

Key Accountabilities:

This role will be base between two site and will support the both site with the escalated troubleshooting and improvements to the sites control systems and network. As a Control Systems Engineer you will drive upgrades and will work closely with multiple teams such as Operations, Maintenance and Process Safety.

The Control System Engineer will provide Automation and process control support, confirmation, and ongoing support for the operations of both plants. You will develop and implement long range plans and standards for process control improvement whilst supporting process control related activities of site capital projects.

Within this role you will be a key member of the ECI team in providing operational support and delivering Controls & Automation strategies across the business.

Applicants will require the following skills & experience:

Engineering degree or equivalent in Electrical, Controls or Instrumentation.
Demonstrate ability to programme PLC (Allen Bradley, Omron)
Experience with SCADA Packages
Previous experience within an FMCG manufacturing environment (essential)
Ability to solve problems using a logical thought process and implement solutions to prevent reoccurrence
Ability to work consistently to high standards and prioritise tasks according to the workload
Knowledge and understanding of Instrumentation & Process Control
The ability to work as part of a team or independently as the situation demands
Good communication skills with internal and external functions
