Contracts Manager

Job Summary

Care UK have a vacancy for a Contracts Manager to work at our head office in Reading. This is a permament role for 37.5 hours per week. The remuneration is between £50,000 - £60,000 depending on experience. Some key responsibilities include: • Maintain formal governance over all supplier contracts, including control of signed contracts, administration of agreed changes to contracts, management of requests for variations, monitoring of charges, ordering and payment procedures, renewal or extension arrangements. • Work with the Care UK legal team to prepare standardised NDAs, ITTs, framework agreements, sub- contract agreements, non-standard agreements. • Be main point of contact to advise on any contractual disputes that occur during life of the supplier contracts and help resolve any issues. • Maintain an up to date register of all contracts entered into by Care UK utilising the Bravo contract database tool. • Where necessary undertake, or at the very minimum oversee, procurements for the supply of goods & services in accordance with legislative requirements and best practice. • Prepare and own the plan to carry out the cycle of work required to renew, renegotiate and/or re-let contracts periodically. • Identify opportunities to rationalise the supplier base and/or consolidate contracts for the overall benefit of Care UK. • Manage the ongoing relationship between Care UK and contracted suppliers resulting from Project Scorpio, the recent programme that improved our procurement processes and negotiated better terms with our major suppliers. • Work with the senior operational leaders (i.e. Hospital Directors & Primary Care Service Line Directors) to ensure suppliers are delivering the operational benefits set out in the supplier contract. • Work with the Procurement Finance Analyst and ensure all the relevant rebate payments due are made in a timely manner. • Manage the suppliers to identify and submit whatever data is required in order to monitor actual performance against agreed KPIs. Experience and Qualifications • Relevant Contract Management/Procurement experience • Knowledge of the healthcare sector would be very advantageous • Commercial contract law knowledge • Ability to project manage new procurement initiatives • Strong negotiation, influencing & interpersonal skills. • Comfortable with handling & analysing data to draw conclusions • Experience of managing a small team an advantage For more information on Care UK please visit
