Contracts Manager - Social Housing
Your new company
You will be working for one of the UK's largest, most ambitious developing housing associations, who will be responsible for building 10,000 plus homes in the next 2 years. Due to re - organisation and growth the company are looking to invest in someone that can confidently manage all Capital delivery programmes. They can contribute their success, to having the ability to provide quality affordable housing to tenants, whilst adhering to the highest health and safety standards and investing in their employee's progression.
As Contracts Manager, you will be reporting directly to the Head of capital delivery, and will take full responsibility for managing an experienced team, in order to ensure that all capital delivery Programmes, quality inspections and Health and Safety procedures, are correctly managed. Your daily responsibilities will be varied, and include meeting with subcontractors, carrying out progress reports, overseeing Health and Safety procedures in addition to producing monthly reports and processing payments etc.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed you must be commercial aware and possess the ability to work with people on all levels, whether that's with subcontractors and clients on site, or your immediate team. The ability to confidently communicate issues, efficiently plan works, oversee Health and Safety and carry out valuations/forecasts, will be key to your success.
- A degree/NVQ or equivalent in a Construction related would be advantageous.
- Experience working in a Project/Contracts Manager capacity within the Social Housing sector is preferable.
- Extensive experience of working in the Construction and Property sector.
