Contracts Manager

Our clients are a leading BMS Trend Technology Centre with prestigious clients throughout the Midlands area and beyond. They are looking to recruit an accomplished Contracts Manager with a strong career background in BMS to take responsibility for Project Engineers, Supervisors, Commissioning Engineers and Sub Contractors on all projects. Taking responsibility for managing all site-based activities to ensure that contracts/project are delivered on time, to the required standards within budget, whilst maximising client satisfaction, duties will include:
Preparing progress reports and all costs collated to variations on site.
Organise, implement and manage contracts programmes and ensure optimum performance of the labour and financial elements of the contract.
Manage and supervise the activities of all engineers ensuring that all work is carried out to the specification demanded by both the contract documentation and company procedures.
Short-term Planning and Monitoring of all contracts and maintain Programme of Works..
Agree and communicate job programmes and monitor progress.
Identify variations to contract that will impact on the programme and ensure programme is revised to accommodate them.
Liaise with Technical Manager to assist production of engineering and software programming and ensure smooth workflow within deadlines.
Compile procurement schedules and liaise with Suppliers re site supply and specialist requirements, specifying deadlines.
Select sub-contractors to ensure level of competence and size of existing workload are consistent with the nature of the contract.
Represent the company at site meetings.
Maintain a flow of timely information to the client as to progress and cost.
Provide technical support to Site Engineers.
Liaise with sub-contracted trades to ensure good relations are maintained
Review sub-contractor performance on completion of contracts, giving feedback where appropriate.
Monitor site Health and Safety practices and routines to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, including the company H & S Policy, to minimise the likelihood of accidents.
Gross profit and financial planning.
Assists in the preparation of company short term planning.
Our client will consider applicants within the BMS industry who may be Project Managers looking to step up or an existing Contracts Manager looking for a fresh challenge.
