Contracts Manager - Social Housing: Planned and Reactive Maintenance
£40k - £45k + Benefits
My client is a leading contractor operating within the reactive / response maintenance and social housing (decent homes) markets. Due to continued expansion, they currently have an exciting opportunity for a Contracts Manager to join their West Midlands Team.
The Contracts Manager will be responsible for delivering a variety of social housing contacts for Housing Associations, ALMOs and Local Councils including reactive maintenance, voids and planned investment (decent homes), gas breakdown / servicing and electrical upgrade projects.
The Contracts Manager will manage a team of Contract Supervisors overseeing reactive maintenance teams and subcontractors delivering planned maintenance. You will also liaise with a team of Resident Liaison Officers and Administrators to ensure contractual expectations are met.
Through hands on leadership, you will drive efficiency ensuring resident/client satisfaction targets are exceeded. You will create an environment for growth, mentoring staff and through employee development programs.
Projects must be delivered on time and within budget whilst ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to at all times.
- Recognised construction industry qualification / membership and training
- Health and Safety, IOSH, CSCS, Scaffold Management, SMSTS
- Proven track record within Contract Management
- Knowledge of social housing, building maintenance and repairs
- Strong management skills and the ability to motivate a team at all levels
- Ability to be innovative and creative to resolve complex issues
- Trade background preferred
- Full (UK) Driving Licence
