Position: Contracts Manager / Contracts Director with entreprenurial and fast expanding Remediation business
Due to a significant uplift in project scale and frequency, a unique opportunity has arisen for a Contracts Manager or an established Contracts Director to join a highly profitable and fast expanding Remediation Contractor.
This highly entrepreneurial organisation has just secured a substantial injection of equity and will be looking to scale their business in the coming years. They offer a truly unique product to the market place. They are incredibly well placed to secure a significant % share of the remediation market.

As the Contracts Manager or Contracts Director you will have overall responsibility for ensuring the successful delivery of a number of projects of varying values. This covers planning, programming, procurement, Health, Safety and Environmental matters, Quality delivery, Subcontract management and cost control.
Joining a relatively young company means that you will be responsible for creating and developing Integrated Management Systems and instilling best practice processes. To a certain extent, you will be working from a blank sheet of paper and building from the ground up. You will also be responsible for assisting in growing the wider operational and commercial teams and for inputting into the wider business strategy.
This role would suit a charismatic, aspirational, self motivated and entrepreneurial individual who is looking to be part of an exciting journey. You will need to have demonstrable experience in industry, not necessarily remediation, and have a track record as working as a Senior Project Manager or Contracts Manager, running multiple schemes.
You will be educated to degree level in a related subject such as Civil Engineering / Environmental Engineering / Geotechnical Engineering, hold relevant site certification, hold a full UK driving licence and be prepared to work nationally.
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
-Line management of site staff and subcontractors
-Ensure Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality practices and processes are delivered to the highest standards
-Ensure a construction programme is in place and is reviewed and progress is adequately monitored
-Ensure detailed plans are developed to align with the overall project programme in respect of the timely procurement of material, labour, subcontract and plant resources
-Chair site progress meetings with clients,
-Build strong client relationships and support future opportunities including attending strategic functions
-Overall responsibility for delivering a commercially successful project by minimising costs and maximising value
-Coach your teams to develop, improve and achieve the best they can
