A widely respected P&I Club seek a Contracts & Claims Executive, to work within a vibrant and progressive work environment. Applicants will need prior contract review experience in order to be considered. You will be working within the Offshore team, and building relationships with members and brokers.

Duties and Responsibilities

Help to handle the expanding workload in the contracts and claims team.
Have a good and clear understanding of the offshore industry
Overall claims handling in accordance with Claims Guidelines and routines
Contribute to an open, friendly and trusting working environment
Take strong initiative in claims handling processes and is considered a role model for less experienced colleagues
Offer support and to colleagues with less experience and actively seek guidance from more senior colleagues
Build strong relationship with Members and Brokers
Promote the company in the market and partake in marketing efforts. Participate in seminars, gatherings and events
Contribute with articles, bulletins, circulars etc. for marketing and loss prevention purposes
Continuously monitor claims and operational performance of Clients under his/her responsibility and ensure effective reporting of relevant and useful information to Head of Business Unit, Head of Claims and Underwriting team
Actively participate in and provide valuable contribution to Support Groups

Skills and Competences Required

Contract review experience
A Law degree
Extensive knowledge and understanding of the global offshore and shipping industry insurance market
Ability to lead work of high complexity, and has deep knowledge within at least one subject area
Capability to support colleagues with less experience
Good communication skills - internally and externally - verbal and written
Language skills - English on high level, fluent in speaking and writing.
