Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

For the role of Contract Manager you will be responsible for and effective management of the Cross Dock function and encompassing Home Delivery in order to achieve the delivery of a high quality and cost efficient service to our customers. Managing the warehousing activity for any other operations based on site as appropriate. Responsible for ensuring that all equipment (inc vehicles) are maintained as per agreed schedules. Ensure legislative compliance in all relevant areas

Key Responsibilities in this role will include;

Achievement of customer service levels in line with contractual agreement for Home Delivery
Preparation of KPI's in line with customer and company requirements for weekly quicks calls with the customer
Ensure all Fleet Management and Vehicle Maintenance issues are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner
Responsibility for all issues relating to Health & Safety and the Environment for internal and external customers
Is focused on identifying and meeting customer needs and acts to establish a successful long-term business partnership with internal and external customers using effective communication
Builds an effective relationship with the customer
Works with union officials effectively
Develops effective vendor relationship management with all relevant suppliers
Ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and follows site policies in the management of absence and performance, recruitment
Looks for ways to continuously improve and delivers operational continuous improvement using first choice methodology
Contributes to an environment where all colleagues stand up for their ideas and where the status quo can always be challenged for the better
Provides effective leadership of the FLM's and encourages effective cooperation among team members and between teams to inspire and achieve high standards of performance
Ensure that all employee relations issues are identified quickly and dealt with effectively to ensure high levels of employee satisfaction and engagement
Conduct regular reviews on a 121 basis with direct reports and manage performance as appropriate
Drive EOS and Engagement tactics across the region
Continuous improvement of employee engagement and the employee opinion survey results

Key skills and experience in this role will include:

Experience in a Supply Chain business is essential
Experience managing teams is essential
Experience in transport management role is desirable
Knowledge and experience of Transport legislation
GCSE/O Level or equivalent Secondary Level is essential
Transport operations qualification (CPC National and International) is essential
