The Camping and Caravanning Club is looking for friendly and organised Contact Centre Advisors for both our UK Contact Centre and European Travel Service Centre.

Founded in 1901, The Club is the oldest and largest in the world for all forms of camping, and today represents around 750,000 camping and caravanning enthusiasts. We operate a network of more than 100 UK campsites, and have an in-house Travel Service. We provide Club members with discounted ferry crossings and campsite bookings throughout Europe. In addition, we have a dedicated team who organise Worldwide fly-drive holidays to numerous exciting destinations such as Canada, USA, New Zealand and South Africa for example.

What you will be doing?

These are telephone based roles, where you will be dealing with customers calling in regarding our UK or overseas travel service.

The UK Team calls are varied and could include information requests, new membership applications or bookings for one of our campsites.

Our European Travel Specialists provide information and take bookings for all our European Travel services. It also involves promoting all of our European camping travel products such as insurance, ferry crossings and overseas campsites, as well as helping our members with their general travel enquiries.

What we are looking for?

The right people for this role will have considerable experience of dealing with customers and be committed to delivering a first class customer service. We are looking for strong verbal and written communication skill and the ability to prioritise effectively to deal with a busy workload.

Experienced in working well within a team, applicants should also be able to work on their own initiative. Finally you will need to be flexible on occasions in order to attend product knowledge trips, training events and trade shows in the UK and abroad to further your specialist knowledge.

Previous experience of working in tourism, or a good knowledge of Travel would be a distinctive advantage, but is not essential.

UK Contact Centre

Monday to Friday 09.30 to 17.30 (1 post)

Monday to Friday 13.30 to 17.30 (1 post)

January to August: One in four Saturdays

European Travel Service Centre

Monday to Friday 13:15 - 17.30 (1 post)

Temporary Contact Centre Advisors (7 posts)

3 month contracts from May/June to July/August and 37.5 hours a week

Students are welcome to apply

Shifts patterns of:

08.00 to 16.00

9.00 to 17.00

09.30 to 17.30
