I am looking for a skilled and experienced PR Manager to help this giant brand in their field to communicate the benefits of their offering and the innovation that sets them apart.

The role:
  • Own PR strategy to increase brand awareness, strengthen brand positioning and drive positive conversations and excitement amongst our target audiences
  • Lead the PR activity, managing external PR agencies for optimal results
  • Create a calendar of innovative PR activity and content (online and offline) to support the brand strategy and marketing communication plan
  • Build and maintain relationships with consumer, business and travel specialist journalists
  • Identify opportunities to promote the business through external media and partnerships
  • Proactively generate exciting news and content on relevant topics
  • Monitor media and have full visibility of conversations about the brand. Work with internal stakeholders to curate responses to ensure that reputation is protected
  • Support corporate financial PR activity such as results and AGM
  • Understand consumer hot topics and opinion to help pinpoint opportunities for reactive and planned activity
  • Manage any negative or crisis communications when required
  • Work closely with the rest of the Marketing team to ensure a holistic and integrated approach is taken to all activity
  • Maintain media centre and PR resources
  • Provide a professional point of contact for all media enquiries
  • Oversee media monitoring, measurement tools and relationships
  • Create and deliver regular in-house reports to demonstrate the impact of PR
  • Develop excellent relationships and contacts within the business to identify opportunities for both internal and external PR activity, influencer activity and spokespeople
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Needed:
  • Demonstrable PR experience, either in-house and/or in an agency environment, ideally within travel
  • A passion for PR, Marketing and Social Media, an understanding of what makes a great story and what makes people want to share it
  • Educated to degree level with a qualification in English, Journalism, Marketing or Business fields
  • Faultless written English and outstanding verbal communication skills
  • Must have a strong understanding of digital and best practice for PR across online media
  • Ability to multitask across a range of projects and in a fast-paced environment
  • A team player, able to easily build relationships and work effectively as part of an integrated Marketing department
  • Outgoing, personable character
