Consultant Oral Surgeon, Southampton, Full Time, Permanent, up to £120,000 + Benefits
Key Details: I am recruiting for a Consultant who specialises in Oral Surgery to join a Private Hospital located in Southampton to provide assessment and treatments under local anaesthetics and local anaesthetics with IV sedation and theatre procedures under general anaesthetic to meet the needs of NHS patients aged 16 years and over.

Location: Southampton - within easy access via Train, Bus and Car with Car Park
Salary: £90,000 - £120,000 per annum / £43.26 - £57.69 per hour based on 40 hours per week.
Hours: 40 hours per week

Further Details about the Role: As a Consultant Oral Surgeon you will be required to deliver new patient assessments and procedures. Operational responsibilities are to ensure effective and efficient utilisation of the staff and facilities to deliver a clinically excellent service in a timely way. The STC philosophy is to provide high quality clinical services to patients as soon as possible and with as few attendances as possible. The post holder will be responsible for liaising with colleagues in the neighbouring NHS Trusts to affect the seamless transfer of acutely ill patients who require transfer across to the NHS. To undertake all necessary administrative duties associated with the care of his/her patients, including but not limited to clinical coding, discharge summaries, letters and reports
Person Specification: I am looking for the successful applicant for this Consultant opportunity to possess Full and specialist GDC Registration with licence to practice. Eligibility to work in the UK. The applicant must be flexible to work the occasional Saturdays as part of the working week and have a day off in lieu. No on-call commitments but must be prepared to assess patients urgently in person on the unit as requested by the Consultants from another speciality and the RMO on duty during routing working hours. Able to take full and independent responsibility for delivering service without direct supervision.
