CONSULTANT IN GENERAL PSYCHIATRY (FEMALE INPATIENT, Nostell Ward)

Full Time, 10 Programmed Activities per week

(Part time may be considered)

CONSULTANT CONTRACT with a SALARY RANGE of: £82,096 - £110,683 per annum

(Pro rata if less than full time)

South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust –Wakefield, Working Age Adult female Inpatient service ( 22 beds ) is looking to recruit a high calibre consultant psychiatrist.

The Post

We’re looking for a full-time consultant to work with our General Adult Inpatient team in acute care pathway at Fieldhead Hospital, Wakefield.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate, who will work closely with an experienced and friendly multi- disciplinary team with a strong ethic of team work. The acute care pathway includes 5 other General adult consultants including two liaison consultants.

As a senior member of the team you will have an excellent opportunity to help shape our services and drive change within the organisation and you will be well supported by the senior leadership team.

We offer local CPD events such as the JAPS (joint academic psychiatric seminar) a monthly meeting for trust-wide psychiatrists with a wide range of clinical topics covered and provides a hot lunch! Additionally we offer an in-house mentoring programme and leadership and management development activities. We are also happy to look at supporting those with interests in research, whether new or an ongoing research projects.

Continuing professional development is a high priority for the Trust and you will be strongly encouraged to continue with further education in accordance with the recommendations of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
