An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust as a Consultant Psychiatrist working within the Mental Health Liaison and Urgent Care Pathway based in East Sussex. The post will be based at the Department of Psychiatry - Eastbourne District General Hospital.

There are significant national developments within the mental health urgent care pathway and this now offers an exciting opportunity to further develop within our local offer under Core 24 additional staff.

We are seeking to recruit additional consultant who will be working along side a highly specialist, motivated multi-disciplinary team consisting of a Specialty Doctor, Clinical Psychologist, Senior Nurse’s, Support Workers, Occupational Therapist and pharmacy.

We are looking for Consultants who has a strong interest in both the provision of acute medicine and liaison psychiatry to strengthen the leadership and support the innovations going forward. Dual training would be desirable but not essential as we aspire to further quality improvements and increase in our skill mix within our liaison service working into our acute hospital and urgent care pathway.

You will be based in a friendly team environment and will have dedicated office space. You will also have access to a dedicated 0.5 WTE (per WTE) of admin support from an established administration team.

On appointment you will have the opportunity to join the Trust wide consultant network as well as having access to peer support from colleagues here in East Sussex.

In addition to all of the above this post attracts a £5000 Golden Hello Payment and the opportunity to claim up to £8000 in relocation expenses!
