We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist to work in our Kingston and Richmond Assessment Team (KRAT).

POST DESCRIPTION

This post is working in a well-established MDT that provides the screening, triage and assessment process for the secondary services across both the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames (Kingston North and South RSTs) and the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames (Richmond and Twickenham RSTs. The team is co-located with the K&R Early Intervention Service for psychosis and Twickenham RST. There are three consultant colleagues therefore on the site. The post arises in the context of the expansion of the Consultant role from six to ten PAs.

The Consultant will work with a Team manager, an advanced clinical practitioner and a dedicated Clinical Service Manager for the Borough (8b). Supervisory support is available from the ACD. The post holder will be required to cross cover colleagues in the community as needed.

The post is based in the modern Maddison Centre on a quiet residential street in the centre of Teddington.

If you are a dynamic established consultant psychiatrist fully registered with the GMC as well as holding Approved Clinician and S12 approval under the Mental Health Act. or a specialist trainee within six months of inclusion on the Specialist Register and would be keen to be involved in developing and expanding the service, we would like to hear from you.
