Applications are warmly invited for one full-time (10PA) Consultant Obstetric post to join the department at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. The post is specifically designed for applicants with either an ATSM in Fetal Medicine or sub-specialty accreditation in maternal and Fetal Medicine. This appointment will complement the existing Fetal Medicine team and enable expansion of the service across the Local Maternity System.

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology falls under the management of the Women and Children’s Clinical Group. The Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology is located within the West Wing in the teaching hospital site at Coventry and includes regional Neonatal ICU, SCBU, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Emergency Assessment Unit, Urogynaecology, Colposcopy & Hysteroscopy suite, Fetal Well Being Unit, Fetal Medicine Unit and The Centre for Reproductive Medicine. The department sees on average 6000 births, 2500 gynaecological emergencies and 4000 elective gynaecology cases annually.

This post will be based at University Hospital, Coventry and include full obstetric on-call commitments.

The post is suitable for a Consultant Obstetrician, with GMC specialist registration, or applicants should have a CCT date within 6 months of the interview date or equivalent.
