NHS Forth Valley seeks to appoint two enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to join the emergency medicine team. The new appointees will join the existing permanent medical staff team of 10 Emergency Medicine Consultants, 3 Emergency Medical Practitioners and 4 Specialty Doctors, providing senior care and leadership in Forth Valley’s Emergency Department.

It is expected that the successful applicants will have a high clinical profile with the drive and initiative to achieve and sustain the highest standards of emergency medical care. The new appointments will participate in the on-site out of hours rota as part of normal job planned activity and will share with the existing Consultants, the supervision and shop-floor training of junior medical staff. Consultant support is also provided to a nurse-led Minor Injuries Unit at Stirling Community Hospital.

NHS Forth Valley is undergoing a period of dynamic change in relation to the organisation of Acute and Urgent Care. This is part of an ongoing programme of work of modernisation and improvement in relation to unscheduled care. The Emergency Department at FVRH is a mixed adult/children’s department covering a population of 310,000.
