The Upper GI team treat a range of benign conditions and there will be opportunities for the successful candidate to expand their chosen Upper GI sub specialist interest. The department is actively involved in audit and research and is ably supported by an excellent clinical governance/R&D department and medical illustration department.
The successful applicant, who will participate in an emergency on call general surgical rota, should be competent in dealing with a broad range of general surgical emergency conditions including the endoscopic management of upper GI haemorrhage, and will actively contribute to ongoing service development.
It is an exciting time to join UHM, where there will also be opportunity to contribute to the planning of clinical models to support the business case for a new hospital.
