Construction Solicitor - Contentious Work

A highly regarded award winning Legal 500 listed national commercial practice is keen to appoint a Construction Solicitor to the firms' national Construction Team to deal with high quality contentious construction matters and be based at the firms' flagship office in Birmingham city centre.

This firm is well known as a very strong commercial practice that acts for predominantly high-profile clients in a variety of sectors covering real estate, corporate finance, commercial services, commercial property, energy and technology to name a few.

The firms' Construction Team acts for a heavyweight list of clients and has a national team that deals solely with contentious construction and engineering projects. The client base comprises many of the best-known names in the industry and the team has achieved national recognition for the quality of its work and it differs from other offerings given that the team comprises not just lawyers but also in-house construction experts who are able to provide valuable input and support.

The team is now keen to appoint an additional construction solicitor with anything from 2 to 5 years' PQE who has experience of dealing with contentious matters. You will be exposed to a varied caseload of challenging, technically complex and high-quality matters to include issues of overruns, defects and delays, termination of building contracts and defective completions disputes among a host other issues whilst also being exposed to TCC litigation, mediation and adjudications.

This firm is different as it is truly a meritocratic organisation and is in a very strong financial position. The practice can offer long term security and will offer exposure to high calibre work. Crucially, the culture at this firm is second to none; there is no "clocking in and out" and the practice is the very epitome of a one that promotes collaboration, cross-referrals of clients and expertise, supportiveness and a general all-round sense of collective achievement.

Given the firms' standing in the market you will naturally receive a competitive salary and benefits package which includes a substantial holiday allowance of 27 days with the option to carry some entitlement over, as well as private healthcare and medical insurance and a host of other benefits.

This is an outstanding opportunity for those who want to move to a firm that promotes an environment with no office politics or bureaucracy and which can offer significant opportunities for progression and development so for more information on this Contentious Construction Solicitor role please contact Matt Robinson at QED Legal.
