I have an excellent opportunity within a world leading supplier of construction chemicals, coatings and plastics. This organisation has worked closely with industry stakeholders to enable successful sustainable construction projects. With their chemistry, buildings can be more durable and require fewer resources for maintenance.

Due to expansion a vacancy has been created for an experienced construction manager to join the team and provide the successful completion of construction projects. This will involve supervision of sites and staff with an excellent knowledge of health and safety standards.

As a Construction EHS Manager, you will provide health and safety expertise within the engineering department ensuring high quality, safe, efficient delivery of all tasks.

*Your main responsibility will be to encourage zero incidents within the team - setting the safety expectations for construction workers, including regular safety and housekeeping audits.
*You will make sure safe working systems and practices are followed, taking responsibility for personal actions and the safety of others.
*You will provide feedback on audits and incidents in the form of briefing notes and Tool Box Talks.
*You will lead project teams throughout the duration of a project from planning through to commissioning with regard to EHS issues.
*In addition, you will develop project specific health, safety and environment plans in accordance with relevant safety regulations, codes and standards.
*You will understand EHS Regulations and Legislation and keep up-to date with developments in EHS - integrating into processes where relevant and transferring knowledge accordingly.
*You will prepare and issue Excavation Permits and Roof Works Procedures including approval of method statements and risk assessments for this work.
*Finally, you will also coach / advise / deliver training to support shared learning and build capability.

Essential Requirements;

*You are educated to a minimum of NVQ level 3, ideally degree level in Engineering discipline or equivalent.
*You have gained substantial experience (minimum 5 years) advising or managing Construction Health & Safety mainly being site based.
*You have a NEBOSH Certificate in Construction Health and Safety.
*You have a NEBOSH diploma (or willingness to study for the Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety).
*You are experienced and competent in Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015.
*You are a strong PC user (Microsoft Office).
*You also have good communication and networking skills and are fluent in English.
*Finally, you are prepared to travel within the UK as required.
