The Construction team has achieved an enviable reputation over many years having been involved in a number of high profile construction projects both in the UK and overseas. Covering both contentious and non-contentious work, the team excels at giving technical yet practical advice, taking into account the commercial realities under which our clients operate. Over 80% of our work is national and around 10% international.
The strength and depth of the team make it one of the top UK construction teams. We continue to grow. Most team members specialise in both the contentious and non-contentious markets as we consider this fundamental in offering a seamless service to our clients and makes our lawyers amongst the best in the region. However, we also have some members of the team who specialise in either contentious or non-contentious work and for this reason we will be able to accommodate you if your experience is from either or both areas.
The team regularly advises on high value projects for both the public and private sector clients across a diverse range of sectors including energy, retail, housing, education and student accommodation to name just a few. On the contentious side, we have a large volume of work ranging from court proceedings, and adjudication to mediation.

What sort of person we're looking for
Commercial solicitors who can work very closely with clients and provide first class practical advice, so we are looking for someone who focused on providing a service and who is technically proficient in construction work. We want someone who is constantly learning and wanting to develop their technical skills. However, in addition to that, we want someone who can help us to continue with the rapid growth of the Unit. We don't believe in standing still so all our team are encouraged to get out there, raise their profile and network in order to help grow the department and promote their career prospects.
