Construction Instructor - Portsmouth

Posted 18 September by Academics

Academics are seeking a Construction Instructor to carry out a part-time contract in an SEMH school in Portsmouth to start in January 2020.

This contract will start on a 0.5 basis and you will be required to deliver BTEC Level 1 in Construction.

The provision caters for Key Stage 4 learners with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, who are permanently excluded from mainstream school, or at risk of exclusion, and for learners with EHCPs identifying SEMH needs.

Due to the environment and needs of the pupils, class sizes are smaller than in mainstream schools and there is a high number of support staff available within the provision. You will ideally have experience of working in a similar setting although this is not essential.

If you have a background in construction, carpentry or design and technology and have also delivered this in a classroom setting, please apply!

If you are available on the above days and would like to be considered for the position, please contact apply using the link provided.
