Due to the continued expansion of my long standing client we are now searching for the right candidates to fulfil a great opportunity and join our team as an Estimator: This family run business turning over £50m deal with their own high end bespoke developments, work in the leisure and health sector and undertake a number of refurbishment projects many of which are listed properties due to their successful and historic relationship with delivering a quality service to repeat clients. Our main field of operations is currently focused around projects ranging from £50k up to £10m We serve clients within Wiltshire, Somerset and South Gloucestershire predominantly.

Due to recent increase of interest in our services we are currently looking for experienced and well-motivated Estimator to join our team. Broad knowledge of this area is essential.

Position will include following duties:

Represent our company and its interests with impeccable manners

Maintain excellent relationship with our existing and new clients

Work closely with site and project managers

Carry out Initial site visits to price up for potential works to meet and fulfil the client's direct requirements and to produce estimates from drawings or specifications of works received

Gather and organise information from suppliers and sub-contractors in order to prepare accurate and competitive tenders in timely and organised manner

Negotiate prices with clients, architects and also subcontractors and suppliers

Prepare coherent, cost effective and profitable bids / tenders and conduct benchmarking evaluation on tenders received

Work with all sub-contractors to ensure accurate and timely quotes are provided with in line with the agreed contract performance targets

Prepare and provide detailed schedule of works for each project

Keep clear track record of project costs and updates as projects progress

Understand and complete all work related documentation accurately and on time, understand and comply with our and client's policies and procedures

Prepare valuations, variations and project accounts

Prepare monthly statistics Attend pre-contract meetings, as and when required

Manage and produce sub-contract packages

Candidates considered will have to meet following criteria:

Have good eye and attention for detail

Full confidence in accuracy of estimates/tenders produced

Highly numerate and in depth knowledge of the building sector

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines Highly organised and efficient

Proven experience in estimating

Advanced computer literacy including estimating software and

Excel Clean driving licence

Very good knowledge of construction processes and materials used

Very good knowledge and drive to conform with current H&S Regulations

Excellent communication skills

Working hours: 8:00-17:00 Mon-Fri Experienced required:

Minimum 5 years

Availability: ASAP

Job Type: Full-time Salary: £50,000.00 to £70,000.00 /year + package
