 Job title: Construction claims handler - Technical

Salary: £32,000

Location: Glasgow - Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (2 days per week working from home)

PURPOSE OF ROLE 

One of the worlds largest insurers is looking for a technical claims handler to join their team in Glasgow. This role would ideally suit you if you have commercial property or construction/plant claims experience.  

DAY TO DAY 

  • Accurately assess and evaluate 'non-complex' construction claims (training will be provided if you come from a commercial property background).
  • Handle claims from end to end within limit of £50,000.
  • Handle calls in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Updating systems accurately.
  • Keeping abreast of industry changes and regulations.
  • Building strong broker and client relationships.  

EXPERIENCE 

  • Previous experience in a technical/construction or commercial property Claims handling role 
  • Experience in dealing with machinery, plant, construction or property claims is preferred, although not essential
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
