An internationally renowned law firm is recruiting a full-time Conflicts Assistant in their Sheffield office. With offices in over 30 countries, this is one of the most multinational law firms in the world. This role involves reviewing conflict search requests and analysing the resulting information to identify potential conflict issues across the firm. You will need to liaise with lawyers at all levels throughout the firm and be confident to take ownership of building on your own technical abilities.
Ideal (but not necessary) attributes include:
- Previous experience working in a law firm
- Experience in a compliance/risk management role would be an advantage and candidates with extensive research and analysis experience will also be considered
- Candidates should ideally be educated to degree level but non-graduates with previous compliance or conflicts search experience will also be considered
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and over the telephone and by email with lawyers and members of staff throughout the International Firm
This role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, especially as you will need to highlight any potential conflicts to the relevant lawyers throughout the firm. You will also need to be able to work flexibly to solve problems and to adapt to new processes and technology.
