As a Content Manager, you will create and deliver compelling conference agendas tailored to each C-level executive community we serve. Key responsibilities include understanding the industry and audience, researching content, interviewing C-level executives, designing cutting-edge agendas, securing best-in-class speakers, building relationships with key industry figures and becoming a subject-matter expert in your business sector. You will be expected to identify speaking opportunities for revenue-generating topics, introduce innovative features and session formats and work with the sales and marketing teams to develop strategies to ensure the commercial success of your events.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
  • Produce agendas for 6-8 summits per year
  • Research and design conference agendas that reflect regional market trends and topics impacting Fortune 1000 organizations and C-level executives
  • Work with Content Director to help set the regional event strategy for the year
  • Successfully partner with program management to help identify and secure sponsorship sales
  • Work with marketing and content liaison teams to maximize audience and sponsor thought leadership investment
  • Develop high-level conference agendas, secure senior industry speakers and identify new and compelling session formats
  • Research competitors’ events to add new content and speakers and produce the highest-quality agendas possible
  • Build relationships with C-level executives, thought leaders and sponsor organizations
  • Write speaker profiles, creative presentation abstracts, invitations, stage scripts and prepare a variety of digital and print marketing materials
  • Negotiate, draft and manage speaker agreements with authors, thought leaders and industry experts
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations and other business units to ensure alignment with event strategy and delivery
  • Evaluate the content quality of events to achieve continual improvement
  • Approximately 10 - 15% travel to events is required
Job Requirements:
  • Four-year univeristy degree is ideal, or equivalent applicable work experience in lieu of degree
  • 2+ years journalism, PR, conference-production, or enterprise content research and development experience
  • Experience successfully creating and producing events within a fast-paced commercial setting
  • Working knowledge of content relevant to Fortune 1000 organizations and C-level executives
  • Ability to identify commercial opportunities and understand how different event formats and sessions can be monetized
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-management skills
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively to develop event agendas
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new subject matter quickly
  • 10-15% travel to events
  • Enthusiasm, confidence, a professional work ethic and strong business acumen
  • Superior organizational and project-management skills, along with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and synthesize information quickly and effectively
  • Effective interviewing skills
