Computer and Network Security Investigator

Well look no further as you've found the team you've been looking for! Canon Europe's information security team is looking for a Computer and Network Security Investigator.

You will be the main person to conduct investigations related to Canon's personnel, products and reputation. This will include, but will not be limited to , cybercrimes; thefts, thefts of intellectual property, leaks; threats; and internal investigations

We are open to the successful candidate for this position being based in our Canon Europe HQ in stockley Park office, or our Canon Nederland's office which is based in Amstelveen. You must have the right to work in either of these locations and we are unable to provide sponsorship for this position.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Providing input into security incident runbooks;
  • Threat Intelligence (open-source) / Threat Information sharing;
  • Assisting security operations in large scale incident response activities and post incident review and follow up where required;
  • Assisting in incident response activities such as basic viruses and malicious code review;
  • Assist the legal team in both misconduct investigations and eDiscovery;
  • Develop and deliver reports and briefings and Breach Communications;
  • Assist in the development and delivery of security awareness products and briefings, including:
    • Red/Blue team exercises;
    • Security Incident simulations;
  • Administrative investigations (i.e. computer misuse, unauthorized disclosures of sensitive or classified information, mishandling sensitive or classified information, etc.);
  • Responsible for all phases of the forensic examination of digital media, including on-site and off-site evidence acquisition/seizures, forensic analysis, and reporting, while maintaining chain of custody and following rules of evidence;

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous, demonstrabe experience in information security along with previous experience in investigations.
  • Experience with commercial forensic software suites, such as EnCase and XRY
  • Knowledge of:
    • Networking fundamentals
    • Host-based forensics fundamentals
    • Virtual environments
    • Forensic imaging techniques
    • Microsoft Windows and Windows artifacts
    • File systems
    • O365
  • Able to work under pressure meeting strict deadlines.
  • Team player
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken.
  • Being able to travel for the job when required.

Advantageous:

  • Certificates such as : Certified Computer Examiner (CCE) / GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE)
  • Language skills
