The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the design and certification of composite structures or products within a highly regulated industry. This is a role that offers diversity and progression.
Must be eligible for Security Check Clearance.

Job Description
- Design aerospace composite and hybrid structures using 3D CAD software.
- Produce detailed engineering drawings to define designs.
- Work as part of an integrated project team to ensure customers’ requirements are met.
- Create certification/qualification plans including QTPs and QTRs.
Composite Design Engineer
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
- An education to degree / HND level in mechanical or aerospace engineering is preferable but not essential
- Demonstration of competence in the design of fibre reinforced composite materials.
- Familiar with aerospace or similar industry composite design methodologies and best practice.
- Proficient in the use of CAD systems
- Good communication, report writing and presentation skills.
- Willing to travel to sites in the UK for design reviews when necessary (likely to be 2-3 times per year)
