Are you an experienced Composite Design Engineer? I want to talk to you!

I am looking for an experienced Composite Design Engineer to join a leading Aerospace manufacturer for both commercial and military markets. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the design and certification of composite structures or products within a highly regulated industry. This is a role that offers diversity and progression.

Must be eligible for Security Check Clearance.

Job Description

  • Design aerospace composite and hybrid structures using 3D CAD software.
  •  Produce detailed engineering drawings to define designs.
  •  Work as part of an integrated project team to ensure customers’ requirements are met.
  •  Create certification/qualification plans including QTPs and QTRs.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

  • An education to degree / HND level in mechanical or aerospace engineering is preferable but not essential
  •  Demonstration of competence in the design of fibre reinforced composite materials.
  •  Familiar with aerospace or similar industry composite design methodologies and best practice.
  •  Proficient in the use of CAD systems
  •  Good communication, report writing and presentation skills.
  • Willing to travel to sites in the UK for design reviews when necessary (likely to be 2-3 times per year)
