Direct Medics is a leading healthcare recruitment company placing a range of high calibre healthcare professionals in short-term shift work, long-term locums and fixed term placement positions in public and private sector settings throughout the UK and Ireland.

Working exclusively in the sector since 2000, we are proud to be the largest supplier of medical staff to hospitals in Northern Ireland.

Due to continued growth, we are delighted to be recruiting for Compliance Officers to join the Direct Medics Team in our Belfast office.

Compliances Officers will work closely with our Recruitment Consultants and Candidates to ensure excellent customer service through the efficient and systematic updating and management of files.

Responsibilities will include:

= To store, arrange and index candidate records to ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory and administrative requirements.

= To assist candidates through the recruitment process appropriate to the chosen country of interest, utilising screening templates and carrying out all administration related to this process.

= To ensure adherence to the NHS Employment Check Standards for all candidates seeking work in the United Kingdom including (but not limited to): Verification of Identity; Right to Work, Employment History & References; Occupational Health; Criminal Records and Professional Registration & Qualifications.

= To liaise with external bodies and providers to process relevant checks & verifications in line with required standards.

= To assist assigned Recruitment Consultant(s) in the maintenance of candidate compliance.

= To ensure that email correspondence for the attention of the Compliance team is responded to fully in a prompt and professional manner.

= To ensure that all company policies, procedures and processes are adhered to fully and on time.

= To identify business opportunities and to gather and pass on sales lead information to the Recruitment team accordingly.

= To record comprehensive vacancy details from clients where required and to pass full details to the relevant consultant promptly.



= Educated to 'A’ Level (or equivalent).

= One years’ previous experience in an administrative role.

= A solid background and understanding of providing outstanding customer service.

= Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

= A strong appreciation of teamwork to achieve team objectives.

= Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and independently.

= Driver’s License and access to vehicle.

= Self-motivated and committed to self-development.


= A qualification in a business administration discipline.

= Working knowledge of the medical recruitment market, locum process or the healthcare system in the UK and/or Ireland.

= Experience working in an environment with regulatory, legal and ethical considerations.

= Experience working to and exceeding key performance indicators.

Salary:£16K basic + bonus, OTE 21K
